What is Acting out of Character™ ?
Wouldn’t it be fun to be someone else for a day?
Acting out of Character™ is a Workshop experience that translates acting skills into people skills. The purpose of the program is to educate how life experiences can be applied to personal strengths and talents by using acting training, rehearsal, and techniques.
Step into someone else’s shoes, while developing confidence to overcome doubts and fears that have held you back up until now.
Trying on a New YOU
Or, maybe you can try something new and creative in a safe, fun learning environment; where the rehearsal process only has positive life-enriching outcomes that you can then take into the real world later on.
In the AOC coaching session and workshop, the involvement created in taking on an alternative role is learned and then practiced as a template to be used in everyday life.
Rehearsing a new pattern of thinking and feeling as a temporary model allows you to experiment safely with the changes you desire within yourself and interactions with others.
Self-expression of the actions of a personally chosen respected character allows us to have a new experience of trying on new thoughts, feelings, and behaviors without inhibitions or limitations.
To “Act” is a Natural Part of the Experience of Life.
Anytime we think about how we’re going to approach circumstances or speak with someone, we are in a sense, rehearsing how it will go when the time comes; how we are going to think, feel, behave, and act in the situation. And therefore, hopefully handle it appropriately in the best way we can.

AOC coaching sessions and workshops help you to develop more trust in yourself and in your own choices—Getting you into the habit of experiencing increased power and freedom of making your own choices in taking action effectively with the best of intentions.
Mistakes are Lessons
If you’re currently making choices based only on positive or negative outcomes, you might miss out on the mistakes present in your process.
It is in the rehearsal process, that focus is on the steps and actions prior to a decision, not the outcome.
What this means is: Trust the process, not the outcome. It is in focusing on the process that we can be open to gaining new insight and learn creative ways to making better decisions.
The process of acting in a role and taking on a character amplifies and exercises life experiences through the rehearsal process. Rehearsing something over and over again is powerful. We do it every day when we repeat and strengthen our habits.
By repeated rehearsals of exercising new experiences through characters in stories we admire and connect with, we can:
